Equestrian Estate

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Foyer
Warm walnut finishes, hand troweled wall finishes and modular stone flooring…elements of rustic, natural design.
Main Hall
The image view shows the perspective of symmetrical space, guiding the eye to the arched detail leading into the main home. Flanked by stacked stone columns, the hallway is the beginning of an adventure of easy living.
Dining Room
Simple, flowing drapery panels contrast with stone columns that are the focal point of the dining room. A large custom-built hand-burnished wood dining table surrounded by 10 upholstered side chairs with carved wood legs allows for ease of conversation.
A custom six leg Spanish Scroll Base Server adorned with two Etched Bronze Pine Cone Motif Medallions compliments the pedestal base dining table. The beautiful custom glass and iron pendant finishes the room with light and warmth.
Kitchen
This dream kitchen is equipped with the ultimate in appliances. The gas stove is topped off with a copper hood and Forest Brown marble countertop. The marble was sand blasted to achieve a warm old leather texture.
Breakfast Area
Relaxing and comfortable, the Breakfast Area is a quaint place to chat and enjoy a cup of coffee while reading the paper. Durable ultrasuede upholstery fabric in a neutral color of beige on the wood carved chairs is virtually maintenance free.
Staircase
Bird’s eye view of the castle-like majestic staircase with its unique paths – a pleasure to envision.
Master Bedroom
Keeping with the design of the entire home, the heavily carved headboard is upholstered in rich grained leather that is set astride soft, silk bedding with elegant trims and sumptuous carpet. The antique doors inspired the design team from the concept stage through to to final build.
Master Bath
The focal point of the Master Bath is the wood wrapped tub that follows the wood wainscoting on the walls creating a continuity to the room. The tub sits in the center of two vanities, mirror images of each other.
Entry Gate
Custom iron gate with unique Aspen leaf logo brings a taste of the mountains to its home in Florida.
Elevation
This residential equestrian home was based on the California/mountain style of Bernard Maybeck. Natural stone, stucco and heavy timbers lend a warm western atmosphere to the compound yet are in keeping with the Mediterranean influence that is found throughout Florida. The compound encompasses a main residence, stable, equipment building and groom’s quarters.
The Stables
One of the requirements of the owner for the barn was that they could view their horses all at once. To accomplish this, the barn was designed “in the round” with a 360 degree view.
Private Lake
Restful and Beautiful.
