Grand Wine Cellar

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This extraordinary wine cellar and entertainment space is the result of a bold vision brought to life through a seamless collaboration between client and designer. Crafted with precision and purpose in partnership with Genuwine Cellars, it strikes a delicate balance between function and finesse—proving that wine storage can be both practical and profoundly artistic.
Design Overview
Guests are welcomed into the first room by hand-carved columns, beams, and corbels that establish a timeless architectural language. At the heart of the space, a custom bar commands attention with its backlit onyx countertop, flanked by intricate stained glass and mirrored, under-lit liquor shelves that elevate every bottle into a work of art.
A dramatic 16-foot-tall glass-enclosed wine tower invites exploration, with a glowing tiger onyx feature wall anchoring the view. Custom PEG system racking with hand-stitched leather cradles and a rolling ladder blend luxury with everyday usability. Behind the scenes, an advanced climate control system ensures ideal preservation for every vintage.
Craftsmanship & Custom Features
This project also serves as a showcase for artisanal craftsmanship. Custom-designed pool, poker, and shuffleboard tables add a playful touch while reflecting the same level of care and detail found throughout the cellar. Each game table is a work of engineering and artistry, encouraging connection and conversation in a truly refined setting.
Deeper into the space, a dedicated wine cave is framed by six hand-forged iron gates, each leading to a curated display of the client’s collection. The curved bottle racks—hand-carved from rich wenge wood—are engineered to both showcase and preserve, keeping labels visible and corks properly humidified.
One of the gated alcoves reveals a Spanish cedar humidor accented with a bespoke Louis XIII water feature. Designed to both impress and protect, this custom piece adds another layer of elegance to a space already defined by its exceptional detail.
